Visiting Scholars

During the next months, we shall have four visiting scholars at our Institute, of which three are working on regional monetary issues related to Latin America:

Fidel Aroche (sabbatical programme at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, UNAM, 20.09.-15.12.). He will work on a research project on the theoretical origins of the input-product model.

André Biancareli from Unicamp, Campinas, Brazil (exchange programme between Unicamp and Freie Universität Berlin, 25.10.-15.11.). He will present his research on regional monetary and financial co-operation in Latin America and Brazil’s economic conjuncture and its challenges in several conferences and workshops.

Leslie Elliott Armijo (Portland State University, 22.09.-20.11.). She is a desigualdades.net fellow and will investigate about regional financial co-operation and inequality in the BRIC countries.

Oscar Ugarteche (sabbatical programme at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, UNAM, 31.08.-15.12.). He will conduct his own research project comparing regional financial co-operation between Europe, Latin America and partly Asia.
