After more than seven years, the world is still struggling with the aftermath of financial crises in the US and Europe. In order to address some of the academic challenges posed by financial crises, we are organizing the interdisciplinary workshop "Financial Crisis Management and its Consequences in Comparative Perspective" that brings together German and international scholars from the field of economics, political science and economic history. The workshop is sponsored by Thyssen Foundation, Freie Universität Berlin's Center for International Cooperation, and the Institute for Latin American Studies.
Ugo Panizza (Graduate Institute, Geneva) will hold the public keynote “Billions on the Sidewalk: Improving Savings by Reducing Investment Mistakes” on Friday, April 7th, 11am (s.t.) at the Project House of desiguALdades.net, Boltzmannstr. 1. If you want to attend the keynote, please register at firstname.lastname@example.org before April 4th.
