What are the language requirements?
As an applicant with a German university degree, you must provide evidence of Spanish or Portuguese language skills at least at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The certificate must explicitly confirm the required level. Please note that you will have to prove your language skills with a certificate that is up-to-date (not older than three years). Certificates submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
As an applicant with a foreign university degree, you must also provide evidence of your Spanish or Portuguese language skills corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). In this case, the university entrance qualification (classes taught in Spanish or Portuguese) or proof of a completed Bachelor’s program of at least three years taught either in Spanish or Portuguese is considered a sufficient proof of language proficiency at level B2-CEFR. Additionally, you will have to demonstrate your German language proficiency. For the application for the Master's program Interdisciplinary Latin American Studies, a certificate of level B2 according to CEFR is required. The certificate must not be older than three years.
