What is the DSH exam, how much does it cost and what do I have to submit in order to take the exam?
The DSH exam is the German language examination for university admission. Applicants who have not obtained the required DSH 2 level by the time of their application are asked to take the DSH exam prior to enrollment. In order to take the exam, one of the following certificates must be included in the application documentation for the M.A.:
- successful completion of Mittelstufe II (Intermediate Level II)
- Level B2 (CEFR)
- Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache (TestDaF), having received the minimum score 3 in all four test components
When you have submitted one of the above mentioned certificates, you must take the German language examination for university admission of foreign applicants (DSH) by the time of enrollment. Participation in the DSH costs €130. The invitation to the DSH will be sent to you with your approval notification for the M.A. from Freie Universität Berlin.
