UMM Scholarships for PhD students’ field mission in developing countries 

4th Call - 2013

 

We invite PhD students enrolled in universities of the European Union who plan to conduct a field research in the frame of their thesis in a developing country on a topic related to financial inclusion to participate in the “University Meets Microfinance” (UMM) – Scholarships Programme.

UMM Scholarships Programme for field research:

Scholarships of up to 1500 EUR are granted to PhD students who plan to conduct a field research in developing countries. The UMM scholarships are granted to cover travel and / or accommodation expenses during the field research.

Each application will be evaluated by a professor and a practitioner. The final score will be the average of the two scores. Participating PhD students will be informed approximately six weeks after the submission deadline.

If research topics are suitable, outstanding applicants might be invited to share their research results at one of the upcoming UMM events and/or in the UMM communication material (i.e.: newsletters).
