Short description:
The e-learning project „ Knowledge Production of Latin-American Intellectuals“ is designed to support research and teaching on the topic of „fragmented modernity and social transformation processes “. The project addresses the limited publication in German of work by Latin American intellectuals that are necessary for an understanding of the recent cultural and social dynamics as well as political and economic transformation processes in Latin America. The presentation format is based on video-taped interviews with leading intellectuals in the fields of history, literature, philosophy, and media and where they discuss their contributions. These interviews are associated with information and exercises designed to support lectures and self-learning activities furthering the development of understanding and specialized-linguistic competence. The learning moduels available online and in the VHS, CD-ROM, and DVD formats.
