On an international level, the Institute for Latin American Studies has been cooperating with numerous institutions for a long time not only in the research area but also in the field of student exchange. Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia and Mexico are worthy of mention as particularly close exchange and working partners. Moreover, specific exchange programs were established, such as within the project-based exchange of academics with Mexico [PROALMEX] and Brazil [PROBRAL].
