Title: From autobiography to autofiction in contexts of globalization

During the session we will discuss the literary genre of autobiography, which has raised a large interest during the past years. We will do this from a literary as well as a sociological perspective, in order to iluminate the discussion of identity and the problem of formation of subjectivities in the context of identity-crossing through exile, social exclusion, migration etc. We will explore the complexity of the genre and its transformation, as well as its heuristic capacity within the investigation process of individuals o groups with floating identities. In order to get a glimps of the discussion on this side of the “between worlds”, we will work on two texts of mexican literature in order two vinculate them with other areas of our project. In the center of our reflection will be the configuration between life, memory, history and subjectivity in this interrelation between life and textuality.
