Requirements and application
To absolve an Erasmus stay at the Institute for Latin American Studies, you must meet the following requirements:
Study one of the following disciplines or areas: Americanist Anthropology, Brazilian Studies, History, Caribbean Studies, Latin American Studies, Political Science, Social and Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, Ethnology, Literature or Cultural Studies.
Proof of knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Proof of knowledge of German at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The languages of the events and seminars at the Institute for Latin American Studies are German, Spanish, Portuguese and English.
Please refer to the current course catalogue (Vorlesungsverzeichnis), for an overview of the available courses (including the language of the events, the type of examinations, etc.).
