Indigenous languages of Latin America (10 LP)
Students learn about indigenous language systems of Latin America, whose grammar and structure may differ greatly from a Eurocentric understanding of language. Furthermore, students can use the language learned for their own empirical work.
InhalteThemodule focuses on the grammar and vocabulary of colonially transmitted and/or living indigenous languages. Students work with texts and other media, learn pronunciation, and gain insights into cultural processes and practices that are expressed through language, written text, and linguistic behavior.

Module exam: Written exam (90 minutes); this module is not evaluated differentially.
