From 4 to 7 August 2025, the Transnational Migration Network (TMN) met at the Institute for Latin American Studies at the Free University of Berlin to hold an exploratory workshop entitled “Political Economy of Migration in Irregularized Transit across the Americas” on the most current issues surrounding migration in the Americas. TMN members shared their field experiences and reflections on the topic to identify common themes with the aim of collaborating on a research project in the near future. The workshop was funded by the German Research Foundation DFG.
