Project: "The past as aspiration. The use of the past by the extreme right in Latin America to shape its political horizons."
Our time is distinguished by the difficulty to go beyond the dominant coordinates and the lack of utopist horizons. Due to this perspective there has been a surge in the political right of groups that seek a return to past times in order to reverse what they consider the degeneration of society. This impels us to ask ourselves the following: what place did the past in the construction of aspirations in the far-right in Latinamerica? ¿What temporalities overlap in their discourses and proposals? What are their influences and how do they relate with other far-rights in other regions?
