Project: "Feelthink philosophy of p’urhé education. An aesthetic of sési irékua in P’urhépecherio"
This research project tackled the feelthink philosophy of p'urhé education and the aesthetic conformation of the sési irékua (know-good living) in P'urhépecherio (the p'urhé nation). It delves into the Jánhaskakua (wisdom) of the p'urhépecha to know the system of thought of the indigenous communities living in the current state of Michoacán in Mexican Republic. The focus lies not only on describing p'urhé philosophy but also on how communities have transmitted their knowledge throughout history. It also confronts two different visions of educational models: the hegemonic model of the Mexican nation-state and the pedagogical alter-native of the p'urhépecha. By assimilating this particularity, it contributes to the changes that national education must inherently have; making known how other forms of education are possible. Maybe like this, little by little, educational models can be transformed in the future, and the wisdom of indigenous communities can be better integrated into the national model.
