Carmen Edith Ulate Rodriguez

Carmen Edith Ulate Rodriguez is a lawyer from the National University in Costa Rica. She also holds a master’s degree in domestic and Gender-based Violence. She did a specialization in Gender perspective in legal and social sciences at the Diego Portales University in Santiago de Chile and another specialization in agrarian law at the National University in Costa Rica. In the past she was the director of the Institute for Women’s Studies and the Co-Coordinator of the Policy Implementation for Gender Equality and Equity at the National University. At the Women’s Institute she coordinated the Program Building a life without violence, doing research, expansion and teaching in Human Rights for women with a Gender perspective.
