Hana Choi-Kim
Hana Choi-Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea and a master’s degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. She has worked as an activist at the Counselling Centre for Sexual Violence Victims, Korean Womenlink in South Korea and holds the position of Specialized Counsellor at the Center for Human Rights at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea, since 2016. She has done a wide range of courses and trainings to become a professional counselor for sexual harassment and sexual violence. Her research interests are gender-based violence prevention education, sexual violence on campus, feminist movement against sexual violence in Korea, methodological approaches to a misogynist ‘atmosphere’ in contemporary Korea, bi-sexual identity and intersectionality of gender, sexuality and class.
