Ana Buquet is a researcher at the Centre for Investigation and Gender Studies at the National University in Mexico (UNAM). She holds a PhD in Sociology, a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She also did a specialization in Gender Studies, Sexuality and Higher Education. She is the coordinator of the project Institutionalization and Gender Mainstreaming at the UNAM and founding Coordinator of the national network of higher education institutions called “Ways to achieve Gender Equality” (“Caminos para la Igualdad de Género, RENIES – Igualdad). Ana Buquet received the Emulies price in 2017 for her career path and her contributions to Gender Equality policies in higher education institutions, the Hermila Galindo award in 2016 in the rubric Scientific, of Investigation and distribution, granted by the legislative assembly of the federal district of Mexico City and the Margherita-von-Brentano price from the Freie Universität Berlin in 2013 for the project MISEAL (Measures for the Social Inclusion and Equality in higher education institutions).
