Dong Wei holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the School of Literature, Art and Media at Anhui University of Finance and Economics in China and a master’s degree in Communication from the School of Journalism and Communication at Wuhan University in China. Since 2016 she has been working at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. Her research topics are affect theories, reality television, new media, feminist media studies, communication theory, especially for media ecology and critical theory and she has published articles about those topics.
